A large tablet lit up.
The foyer echoed with Victor's own voice.
"You're nothing without me."
Then came his threats.
His insults.
His raised hand.
Even his mother's instructions to avoid leaving visible bruises.
Every second had been recorded from hidden cameras installed weeks earlier after Elena discovered forged medical files meant to declare her mentally unstable.
The security officers remained expressionless.
Victor's lawyer slowly lowered his head.
"There has to be another explanation," Victor muttered.
"There is," Elena replied.

She produced another envelope.
Inside were forged psychiatric reports, fabricated custody petitions, and emails discussing how to isolate her after childbirth.
Every page carried digital signatures.
Every file had already been delivered to prosecutors.
Victor's mother suddenly realized the danger.
"We should leave."
"No," an investigator answered.
"Neither of you is leaving."
