Chapter 1: The Evidence He Never Knew Existed

The ballroom was silent except for Emily's uneven breathing.

Thomas never raised his voice.

He simply looked toward the guests.

"I need everyone to remain here for a few minutes."

No one argued.

They had never seen the normally composed businessman look so calm...

or so dangerous.

Logan slowly climbed to his feet.

"You think anyone's going to believe her?"

Thomas reached into his jacket.

Instead of a weapon...

he removed a small flash drive.

Logan's confidence disappeared.

"What is that?"

Thomas answered quietly.

"The evidence you forgot."

Minutes earlier, Emily had arrived at her parents' estate carrying only her phone and a small overnight bag.

Before saying a word, she had handed her father the flash drive.

"I've been collecting proof for eleven months."

Hidden audio recordings.

Screenshots.

Bank transfers.

Photographs.

Medical reports.

Every apology.

Every threat.

Every bruise carefully documented after Logan insisted they were "just accidents."

Emily hadn't come home empty-handed.

She had come home prepared.
