Chapter 2: Three Years of Lies

Chapter 2: Three Years of Lies

Alejandro ordered everyone into the library.

No one was allowed to leave.

His attorney, the police, and the head of corporate security were already on their way.

For the first time in three years, Elena sat in her own chair beside the fireplace.

She held a warm blanket around her shoulders, still unable to believe she was safe.

Finally, she spoke.

"It started the night of your business trip."

Vivian had arrived pretending to help Elena organize a charity event.

She had secretly drugged Elena's tea.

When Elena woke up, Vivian told every servant that Mrs. Castillo had suffered a severe mental breakdown.

Anyone who questioned the story was fired immediately.

Vivian bribed several senior staff members and isolated Elena inside a locked wing of the mansion.

Over time, Elena's expensive clothes disappeared.

Her jewelry was sold.

Her identification documents vanished.

Eventually, she was forced to work as a servant.

If she resisted...

She was punished.

Alejandro's hands shook with rage.

"And no one told me?"

The butler lowered his head.

"Every phone call to you was intercepted."

"Every letter was destroyed."

"Anyone who tried to contact you disappeared from the staff list within days."

Alejandro slowly turned toward Vivian.

"You stole my wife's identity."

Vivian laughed nervously.

"You have no proof."

At that exact moment, the head of security entered carrying several hard drives.

"We found hidden surveillance backups."

He placed them on the table.

"Nothing was erased."

Vivian's face turned white.
