Maria connected the tablet to the ballroom projector.
The giant screen behind the dance floor flickered to life.
Every guest turned toward it.

7:42 PM
The camera overlooked the ballroom entrance.
Guests watched the bride and groom cut the wedding cake.
Nobody noticed Preston quietly walking away from the stage.
Except the camera.
He approached Evelyn and Sophie from behind.
Sophie was laughing with another flower girl.
Preston looked over both shoulders.
Then...
He reached into his jacket.
Pulled out his titanium iPhone.
Slipped it into the pocket of Sophie's denim jacket.
Gasps echoed through the ballroom.
"No..."
Someone whispered.
The footage continued.
Preston calmly walked back toward the head table.
