Chapter 1: A Father's Promise

Chapter 1: A Father's Promise

Alexander sat beside Sofia's bed until sunrise, saying almost nothing.

Every bruise told a story.

Every tear she shed fueled a quiet determination burning behind his calm expression.

Finally, he stood.

"Elena," he said, "take pictures of every injury."

She nodded immediately.

"Call the hospital. She needs a full medical examination."

Sofia looked frightened.

"They'll find me..."

Alexander gently squeezed her hand.

"No."

"They'll be the ones looking over their shoulders now."

For years, Alexander had built one of the most respected law firms in the city.

He knew prosecutors.

Judges.

Investigators.

More importantly...

He knew how powerful people tried to bury the truth.

"They expected you to stay silent," he told Sofia.

"That was their biggest mistake."

Within hours, doctors documented every injury.

Security cameras from the luxury hotel were requested.

Hotel staff who had witnessed suspicious activity were quietly interviewed.

One young housekeeper came forward.

"I heard screaming," she whispered.

"They told us never to knock on that suite."

Then another employee admitted seeing Carmen enter the bridal suite with four women.

The evidence had begun to grow.

She never answered.
