The convoy of black SUVs pulled away from the mansion without hesitation.
Inside the lead vehicle, Isabella didn't look back.
Her assistant, Evelyn Carter, handed her a tablet.
"The directors are all present."
"What about Lucas?"
"He has no idea the meeting started twenty minutes ago."
Isabella smiled faintly.
"Good."
Across town...
Lucas raced toward company headquarters.
His hands shook as he refreshed his phone again.
Every screen displayed the same message.
Executive Access Suspended.
"This has to be a mistake," he muttered.
When he arrived, two security officers blocked the entrance.
"I'm the CEO."
One officer remained polite.
"You were."
Lucas froze.
"What did you say?"
"The board voted to remove you effective immediately."
His company badge flashed red.
ACCESS DENIED.
Employees watched silently as the man who had ruled the company for years stood helpless outside the glass doors.

Lucas realized Isabella had never been bluffing.

Every director stood when Isabella entered.
The Chairman smiled respectfully.
"Welcome, Ms. Bennett."
She took the seat at the head of the table.
"For three years," she began calmly, "I watched this company place profits above integrity."
She pressed a button.
Financial reports appeared on the screen.
Hidden transfers.
Luxury expenses.
Corporate funds used to purchase gifts for Sophie.
Unauthorized executive bonuses approved by Richard.
Silence filled the room.
Then came the final slide.
Majority Shareholder: Bennett Family Holdings – 58%.
Every director looked toward Isabella.
The Chairman spoke.
"As controlling shareholder, the floor is yours."
She closed the presentation.
"I move to appoint new leadership."
