Her father smiled proudly.

The company secretary opened a leather binder.
"Eleven years ago, Ashcroft Holdings retained fifty-one percent of every luxury property through a series of family trusts."
Several new directors signed the final resolutions.
The Chairman announced the result.
"Mr. Marcus Hayes is removed as Chief Executive Officer."
"Ms. Isabella Ashcroft is appointed Executive Chair."
The vote was unanimous.
Meanwhile...
Marcus frantically called investors.

They declined his calls.
