The foyer fell completely silent.
Even the grandfather clock seemed louder than before.
Vivian slowly turned toward the little girl.

Vivian hurried down two steps.
"Nathaniel, she's confused."
"She's only a child."

"Grandma told me to hide when you started yelling."
