CHAPTER 2 — THE DESIGNER ENTERS THE ROOM
A silver-haired man pushed through the crowd, his tuxedo immaculate, his expression fractured between fury and disbelief.
Behind him, security tried to keep pace—but he didn’t slow down.
He stopped directly in front of Elena.
Then dropped to one knee.
The ballroom went still.
His hands hovered over the torn fabric like it was something sacred.
“No… no, no, no…” he whispered.
Vivienne frowned. “Excuse me—do you even know who I—”
The man snapped his head up.
His voice shook.
“Do you have any idea what you’ve done?”
He gently lifted the torn seam.
“This is not a dress.”
He swallowed hard.
“This is the only original piece in existence.”
A wave of confusion spread through the room.
He stood now, pointing at Elena—not accusing her, but protecting her.
“Do you understand what she is wearing?”
He turned to the crowd.
“This gown was never released. Never duplicated. Never sold.”
May you like
His eyes locked onto Vivienne.
“It was created for her.”
