Three months later...
The courtroom was packed.
Victoria insisted Eleanor had fallen on her own.
But the hidden hallway recording told another story.
So did Lily.
When asked why she decided to speak, the little girl looked at the judge and quietly answered,
"Because Grandma always said the truth is brave, even when you're scared."
Her simple words filled the courtroom with silence.
Victoria was convicted of attempted murder, fraud, and conspiracy.
She was led away in handcuffs without looking back.
Months later, Eleanor returned home, walking slowly with the help of a cane.
The family gathered once again in the grand lobby.
Arthur looked up at the second-floor railing where everything had changed.
He decided not to renovate it.
Instead, he placed a small bronze plaque nearby.
It read:
"In this home, truth spoke through the smallest voice—and saved an entire family."
Lily looked up at her grandmother.
"Are you happy now?"
Eleanor smiled warmly.
"I'm happy because you're brave."
Arthur wrapped his arms around both of them.
