CHAPTER 1: The Slap in the Glass Kingdom

CHAPTER 1: The Slap in the Glass Kingdom

The bridal showroom looked like it belonged to another world.

Crystal chandeliers scattered light across marble floors. Wedding gowns floated behind glass like captured dreams. Even footsteps felt expensive here.

Until the sound of a slap shattered it.

CRACK.

The bride staggered back, hand flying to her cheek. Her white lace dress trembled as if even the fabric was shocked.

Tears formed instantly—but she didn’t speak.

The woman in the silver gown didn’t lower her hand.

“That dress is worth more than your life,” she said coldly.

Two of her friends laughed behind her.

Soft.

Cruel.

Performative.

“You really thought you could try something like this here?” one of them added.

The bride’s lips parted slightly.

Then closed again.

Because she understood something important—

this wasn’t a misunderstanding.

May you like

It was a message.
