Chapter 5: Moving Forward
Months passed.
David never tried to replace anyone.
He simply became part of our lives.
He attended my school concerts.
He taught me how to ride a bicycle.
He laughed when I beat him at board games.
One evening, years later, I asked him why he had come back to that park on the day we met.
He smiled.
"I wasn't looking for you."
"I was visiting a place Sarah and I used to walk together."
"And then I heard a little girl laughing."
"You sounded exactly like she used to."
He paused.
"That laugh changed all our lives."

And while the years stolen by lies could never be returned...
May you like
The years still ahead belonged to us.
The End.
