Chapter 2: An Offer Leah Never Expected

Chapter 2: An Offer Leah Never Expected

The next morning, Leah returned to the restaurant expecting another ordinary shift.

Instead, a sleek black car pulled up outside.

Daniel Whitmore stepped out.

"I'd like to invite you to lunch," he said.

Leah hesitated.

"I don't think I belong in your world."

Daniel smiled.

"That's exactly why my mother wants to meet you again."

At the Whitmore estate, Eleanor welcomed Leah like family.

Over tea, she shared a painful truth.

"When my husband built our fortune, we promised we'd never forget what it felt like to struggle."

Her eyes filled with tears.

"But somewhere along the way, many people around us started respecting only money."

She reached across the table.

"You reminded me that genuine character can't be bought."

Eleanor offered Leah something unbelievable—not money, but a scholarship to finish college and an internship at the Whitmore Foundation.

"We invest in people who invest in others," she said.

Leah accepted with tears in her eyes.

It wasn't charity.

It was faith.
