The following morning, detectives gathered in the hotel's security office.
The footage rolled.
There was Sophie eating cake.
Laughing with another flower girl.
Never once approaching the head table.
Then...
The camera zoomed toward Preston.
He looked around carefully.
Walked behind Sophie.
Bent down as if adjusting her jacket.
His hand disappeared into the pocket.
Three seconds later...
He walked away smiling.
The detective paused the video.
"No accident."
