Instead of confronting them immediately, Daniel pretended everything was normal.
He told Vanessa he regretted overreacting.
He even apologized.
She believed him.
Three days later, she invited Mark to the house.
Exactly as Daniel expected.
Neither of them noticed the detectives waiting inside the surveillance van parked across the street.
Daniel entered carrying a folder.
"I've decided to sign."
Vanessa smiled triumphantly.
Mark slid the forged documents across the table.
"Right here."
Daniel picked up the pen.
Instead of signing...
He pressed a small remote hidden beneath the folder.
Every television in the house turned on simultaneously.
The security footage filled every screen.
Vanessa striking his mother.
Mark forging signatures.
Their recorded conversations.
Every lie.
Every crime.
Vanessa's face drained of color.
The front door burst open.
