Chapter 7 – The Alcázar Family Secret

Chapter 7 – The Alcázar Family Secret

Secrets inside powerful families are rarely buried because they are forgotten.

They are buried because someone is afraid of what will happen when they are found.

For generations, the Alcázar family had built an empire based on one belief:

The family name came first.

Before love.

Before loyalty.

Before the truth.

But every empire has a weakness.

A hidden foundation.

A crack beneath the surface.

And Sebastián had finally found it.

The photograph trembled in his hand.

He looked at Valeria.

Her face had lost all color.

She looked like someone who had just seen a ghost.

"Who is she?"

Sebastián asked again.

Valeria could barely speak.

"Her name is Camila."

Silence.

Sebastián searched his memory.

Camila.

The name was familiar.

"Camila Torres?"

Valeria nodded slowly.

"Your family's private nurse."

The woman who had been beside Valeria throughout her pregnancy.

The woman who brought her medication.

The woman who listened when she cried.

The woman Valeria believed was the only person inside the Alcázar circle who truly cared about her.

Sebastián stepped back.

"No."

His voice was filled with disbelief.

"Camila helped you."

"I thought she did."

Valeria whispered.

And that sentence hurt more than any accusation.

Because betrayal from an enemy was expected.

Betrayal from someone trusted destroyed something deeper.

The Woman Who Pretended to Save Her

For months, Camila had played the role of protector.

She was the person who told Valeria:

"Don't worry. I believe you."

She was the person who held her hand after arguments with Rebeca.

She was the person who told Sebastián:

"Your wife is under a lot of stress. She needs patience."

Now Sebastián understood.

Those words had not been support.

They had been manipulation.

"How did she get close to you?"

Sebastián asked.

Valeria looked down.

"Your mother introduced her."

The room became silent.

Of course.

Everything led back to Rebeca.

The Family's Hidden Daughter

Mateo interrupted.

"Camila is not just a nurse."

Sebastián turned.

"What do you mean?"

Mateo opened another file.

"Her real name is Camila Alcázar."

Nobody moved.

The silence was absolute.

"That's impossible."

Sebastián whispered.

Mateo placed the documents on the table.

"Your grandfather had another child."

He pointed at the records.

"Her grandmother was that child."

Sebastián stared at the papers.

Another hidden branch.

Another erased relative.

Another family secret.

The Alcázar family had not only hidden money.

They had hidden people.

The Daughter They Erased

Mateo explained.

Years ago, Sebastián's grandfather had a daughter named Elena.

She was his first child.

The person who should have inherited part of the family fortune.

But when Elena married someone outside the Alcázar circle, the family rejected her.

Her name was removed from records.

Her existence was denied.

Rebeca discovered the truth decades later.

And instead of correcting the injustice…

She continued it.

"Why?"

Sebastián asked.

Mateo looked at him.

"Because Rebeca believed the empire belonged only to the people she could control."

The Baby's Real Importance

Sebastián looked toward Valeria.

"The baby..."

Mateo nodded.

"Your child carries the connection between both sides of the family."

The hidden branch.

The official branch.

For the first time in decades, the erased part of the Alcázar family would have a legal claim.

That was why Rebeca was desperate.

If the baby was born and the truth became public...

The empire she controlled could be divided.

Her power would disappear.

The Reason for the Fake Pregnancy Plan

Sebastián remembered Vanessa?

No.

The Alcázar story had been different.

But the same pattern existed.

Create a false narrative.

Control the information.

Remove the person who threatens the plan.

Rebeca had never wanted a family.

She wanted ownership.

And Valeria's child was the one thing she could not own.

The Woman Who Confessed

That evening, Camila appeared.

Not by choice.

Sebastián's security team found her before she could leave the city.

She entered the hospital room quietly.

Her confidence was gone.

Valeria looked at her.

Pain filled her eyes.

"Why?"

Just one word.

But it carried everything.

Camila looked down.

"Because I had no choice."

Sebastián's expression hardened.

"Everyone says that when they betray someone."

Camila began crying.

"My entire life, I was told the Alcázar family destroyed my grandmother."

A pause.

"I was told Sebastián had everything that belonged to us."

Valeria listened silently.

"And Rebeca promised me that if I helped her..."

Camila's voice broke.

"She would restore my family's place."

The Lie Behind the Revenge

Sebastián stared at her.

"You believed her?"

Camila nodded.

"I was angry."

She wiped her tears.

"I spent my entire life believing the Alcázars stole my future."

A pause.

"I didn't realize Rebeca was stealing mine too."

Because Camila finally understood.

Rebeca never planned to give her anything.

She was just another tool.

Another person controlled by the same woman.

The Final Piece of Evidence

Before leaving, Camila handed Sebastián a small envelope.

"I kept this because I knew one day I would regret what I did."

Inside was a recording.

A conversation between Rebeca and Octavio.

Sebastián pressed play.

Rebeca's voice filled the room.

"Once the baby is gone, Valeria's credibility disappears."

Octavio asked:

"What about Sebastián?"

Rebeca answered:

"He will forgive me eventually."

A pause.

"He always does."

Sebastián closed his eyes.

Those words hurt.

Because they were true.

Until now.

The Beginning of the End

Sebastián stood beside Valeria.

For the first time, he was not confused.

Not controlled.

Not afraid.

"The truth goes public."

Valeria looked at him.

"Are you sure?"

He nodded.

"My family built an empire on secrets."

He looked at the documents.

"So we destroy the secrets."

But neither of them knew…

Rebeca had one final move.

A secret even deeper than the hidden daughter.

A secret that could destroy Sebastián's entire identity.

Because the next document she planned to reveal…

May you like

Would prove that Sebastián Alcázar himself was never the rightful heir.
