Chapter 3 – A Father's Choice

Chapter 3 – A Father's Choice

One year later...

Lily raced across a sunny park, laughing as Ethan chased her with an ice cream in each hand.

She looked happier than she had in years.

Healing had taken time.

But it had come.

Ethan had canceled every honeymoon plan, every luxury reservation, and every dream wedding expense.

Instead, he invested his time where it mattered most—his daughter.

Together they traveled.

Read bedtime stories.

Went camping.

Built treehouses.

Slowly, Lily stopped waking from nightmares about the balcony.

As for Victoria...

The story spread quickly.

Guests who had witnessed the wedding told others what had happened.

Her reputation collapsed.

Not because the wedding was canceled—

But because everyone remembered one simple truth:

A person who is cruel to a child when no one is watching will eventually reveal that same cruelty to everyone else.

One afternoon, Lily looked up at her father.

"Daddy?"

"Yes?"

"Did you choose me over your wedding?"

Ethan smiled and knelt beside her.

"I didn't choose between you and a wedding."

"I chose between fear and love."

"And I'll choose you every single time."

Lily wrapped her arms around him.

The sunlight warmed the park.

There were no grand decorations.

No orchestra.

No cameras.

Only a father and his daughter.

And somehow...

May you like

It was far more beautiful than the wedding that never happened.

The End.
