Chapter 2: Judgment Begins

Chapter 2: Judgment Begins
Nathan gasped beneath Colonel Damien Cross's boot, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth. For the first time in years, the arrogant heir felt something unfamiliar.
Fear.
"You..." Nathan coughed. "You assaulted me... I'll have you arrested."
Damien didn't even blink.
"I've spent thirty years protecting this country," he replied calmly. "Men like you hide behind expensive suits and powerful surnames. Today, neither will save you."
Behind him, six military police officers entered the penthouse, followed by two forensic investigators carrying sealed evidence cases.
Vivian shot to her feet.
"How dare you bring soldiers into my son's home? Do you know who we are?"
One investigator silently placed a tablet on the marble table.
The hidden recording began to play.
Every scream.
Every strike of the belt.
Every insult.
Nathan's kick against Aria's pregnant stomach echoed through the room.
Vivian's face drained of color.
Nathan stared at the screen, unable to speak.
Damien slowly turned toward them.
"My daughter begged for mercy."
"You laughed."
The investigators photographed every bloodstain, every broken piece of furniture, every injury covering Aria's body.
One officer looked at Damien.
"Sir... this qualifies as attempted murder."
Damien nodded once.
"Arrest them."
Nathan struggled violently.
"You can't touch me! My father owns half this city!"
May you like
The officer tightened the handcuffs.
"Not anymore."
