CHAPTER 3: What Cannot Be Undone

Security personnel entered the ballroom—but stopped immediately when they recognized the situation.

No one gave orders.

No one dared.

The groom bowed deeply.

“Please… don’t destroy my family for this.”

The Chairwoman looked at him for a long moment.

Not with hatred.

Not with mercy.

With judgment.

“You didn’t protect what matters when you had the chance.”

Her voice softened slightly.

“That is your punishment.”

She turned away.

The marble floor reflected her steps as she walked toward the exit.

Behind her, chaos didn’t erupt—because no one had the courage to create it.

Only silence remained.

Only realization.

The bride collapsed into a chair, sobbing quietly.

The mother-in-law stood frozen, staring at her own hands as if they no longer belonged to her.

And the groom—

still bowed—

still unmoving—

as if trying to memorize the weight of his mistake forever.

The doors of the ballroom opened.

Cold air swept in.

And the woman who had been shoved onto the floor walked out as if the entire world belonged to her again.

Not because it was taken.

May you like

But because it always had been.
