Minutes later, flashing blue lights reflected through the mansion's tall windows.
Several detectives entered together.
Detective Harris walked directly to the injured woman.
"Stay still."
Paramedics followed close behind.
One carefully checked the baby's heartbeat while another treated the cuts on her hands.
Only after confirming she was stable did Detective Harris stand.
He turned toward the guests.
"I'll need everyone to remain here until we've collected statements."
