Chapter 2 – The Witnesses Speak

Chapter 2 – The Witnesses Speak

Hours passed.

One by one, every guest was escorted into private interview rooms inside the museum.

Nobody could coordinate stories.

Nobody knew what anyone else had said.

That was exactly the point.

The first witness was an elderly art historian.

"I saw him grab her."

The second was a senator's wife.

"I heard him threaten her."

Then came Grant's own friends.

Each believed the others had already confessed.

Each admitted a little more.

One revealed previous assaults.

Another mentioned illegal business deals.

Another quietly admitted that security footage had been destroyed after earlier incidents.

Every statement strengthened the next.

By sunrise, investigators possessed not one accusation—

but dozens.

Grant sat alone.

For the first time in his life...

Silence had become his greatest enemy.
