Claire knelt beside Sophie.

Sophie wiped away her tears.
"I wanted to look at the flowers."
"She called me street trash."
"And she pulled my arm."
Claire kissed her forehead.
"You did nothing wrong."
The head of security stepped forward.
"Ma'am..."
"The ballroom cameras recorded the entire incident."
A large screen descended from the ceiling.
The footage played.
Victoria insulting Sophie.
Grabbing her arm.
Dragging her toward the exit.
Not a single guest intervening.
