Chapter 2

Part 2: The Woman Behind the Empire

By noon, Julian finally understood.

This wasn’t a scandal.

It was a dismantling.

His company servers were locked. His private banking channels restricted. Even his philanthropic foundation—the one that gave him public legitimacy—was under investigation.

And every lock carried the same signature authorization:

A. Grant Secondary Authority

He froze.

Only one person had that level of access.

Amelia.

“She can’t do this,” Julian said, pacing his office. “She’s just—she’s just my wife.”

His CFO looked at him coldly. “She was your majority operational partner. You never read the fine print, did you?”

Serena’s voice broke the tension.

“This is insane,” she snapped. “She’s punishing you because of me.”

Julian didn’t answer.

For the first time, doubt crept into Serena’s expression.

Not fear of Amelia.

Fear of what Amelia knew.

Because this wasn’t emotional retaliation.

It was structured execution.

At 2:00 p.m., Julian received a single email.

No subject.

Just a document attachment titled:

RETURN OF CONTROL AGREEMENT

Inside was a list.

Every company Julian thought he owned.

Every asset he believed he built.

And at the bottom, a final clause:

“All entities revert to original controlling interest upon verified breach of marital fiduciary trust.”

Signed.

Amelia Grant.

Serena finally stood up. “She’s bluffing.”

Julian stared at the signature.

And for the first time, he whispered:

“No… she planned this.”
