Chapter 4: Tomorrow, You Have Nothing

Chapter 4: Tomorrow, You Have Nothing

The next morning...

Sophia's husband received an urgent phone call.

Their family's investment company had suspended every account connected to her.

Their luxury villa had been sold.

Their club memberships revoked.

Every business partnership disappeared overnight.

Confused, he drove straight to Daniel's office.

Daniel was waiting.

"So..." the man demanded.

"You destroyed us?"

Daniel calmly slid a folder across the desk.

Inside were contracts.

Ownership records.

Investment agreements.

The villa.

The businesses.

The vacation properties.

Every one of them had been financed through Daniel's family investment group.

"You thought they were yours," Daniel said quietly.

"They never were."

The man stared in disbelief.

Daniel stood and walked toward the window overlooking the city.

"I spent years helping family without asking for recognition."

"I believed generosity created loyalty."

He turned around.

"Yesterday proved something different."

"It created entitlement."

The man lowered his head.

"Please... give us another chance."

Daniel shook his head.

"My wife almost died."

"My unborn child almost died."

"There isn't another chance."

Security entered the office.

"Escort Mr. Carter out."

Without resistance, he left.

Epilogue

Three months later...

Emma gave birth to a healthy baby boy.

The first person Noah introduced to his little brother was himself.

"I'll protect Mommy now," he whispered proudly.

Emma smiled through happy tears.

Daniel wrapped an arm around both of them.

Looking at his family, he finally understood that real strength wasn't measured by wealth, influence, or beautiful homes.

It was measured by what—and who—you chose to protect.

As for Sophia, she was convicted in court based on the surveillance footage and witness testimony. The villa she had once flaunted became someone else's home, while Emma and Daniel left the past behind, choosing peace over revenge.

Sometimes, the greatest victory isn't watching someone lose everything.
