Chapter 2: The Truth Behind the Signature

Chapter 2: The Truth Behind the Signature

Damian stared at the notifications flooding his phone.

ACCOUNT FROZEN.

BOARD AUTHORIZATION REVOKED.

EXECUTIVE ACCESS DENIED.

"This... this can't be legal," he whispered.

Elena didn't answer.

She calmly signed another document and handed it back to the chairman.

"Continue."

The chairman nodded.

"Understood, Ms. Voss."

One by one, executives who had ignored Elena moments earlier stood from their seats.

Not to defend Damian.

To stand behind her.

Damian looked around the boardroom in disbelief.

"You all worked for me!"

An elderly director adjusted his glasses.

"No."

"We worked for the company."

"We merely tolerated you."

Veronica stepped forward, panic replacing arrogance.

"Damian, tell them this is a misunderstanding."

He couldn't.

Because the documents on the screen were real.

Every promotion...

Every acquisition...

Every bonus he had celebrated...

Had required approval from the silent majority shareholder whose name he had never bothered to learn.

May you like

Elena Voss.

The woman he had dismissed as insignificant.
