That was the strange part.

“I’m so sorry,” she said quickly. “They told me this was the Hartwell jet. I’m supposed to look after the children—”

Then his phone rang.
A name flashed on the screen: Hartwell Security.
He answered.
A pause.
Then:
“…She’s on your jet.”
The nanny’s stomach dropped.
“I’ll get off right now,” she said, turning toward the door.
But the man raised a hand.
“Wait.”

Not commanding.
