Chapter 2: The Woman Who Chose Love

Chapter 2: The Woman Who Chose Love
The ceremony was temporarily halted as royal officials entered the hall.
The guests who had mocked Daniel moments before now stood awkwardly, trying to hide their embarrassment.
Margaret immediately rushed forward.
"Your Highness, please forgive me. I had no idea."
Daniel's expression hardened.
"That's exactly the problem."
The room grew quiet again.
"You believed I was worthless because you thought I had nothing."
Margaret lowered her eyes.
Daniel continued.
"You judged a man's value by his bank account."
Every word struck harder than the last.
Then he turned toward Eleanor.
"What did you think of me when you believed I was ordinary?"
Eleanor laughed through her tears.
"I thought you were stubborn."
The guests chuckled softly.
"And kind."
Daniel smiled.
"And?"
"You always helped people before helping yourself."
His smile widened.
"And I loved that."
A tear rolled down Daniel's cheek.
Not because he was a prince.
Not because he had finally revealed his identity.
But because for the first time in his life, he knew someone had chosen him for who he truly was.
Not for the palace.
Not for the title.
May you like
Not for the future throne.
For him.
