CHAPTER III – ONE CHAIR, ONE CHANCE

CHAPTER III – ONE CHAIR, ONE CHANCE

A customer in the waiting area spoke up.

“Let him try.”

Another nodded. “It’s just a haircut.”

The receptionist hesitated, then finally exhaled.

“One chance,” she said coldly. “If you mess it up, you leave immediately.”

The old man gave a small nod.

“I only need one.”

He was led to the chair.

The cape was placed around his shoulders.

The mirror in front of him reflected a man the world had already erased.

Behind him, the salon watched in silence.

The receptionist stood with folded arms, waiting for failure.

The old man lifted the scissors.

His hands trembled slightly at first.

Then steadied.

Because this wasn’t just a haircut.

It was the first time in years he wasn’t being pushed out of a room.

He was staying.

ENDING (ENGLISH)

Thirty minutes later, the silence in the salon was different.

No laughter.

No whispers.

Only focus.

When the old man finished, he set the scissors down gently.

The reflection in the mirror was no longer someone broken.

It was someone recognizable again.

The receptionist stepped forward slowly.

For the first time, she didn’t know what to say.

Because the man in the chair didn’t look like someone who needed a chance anymore.

He looked like someone who had just reclaimed it.

And sometimes, that is how a life begins again—

Not with money.

May you like

But with someone finally saying: “Sit down.”

THE END.
