CHAPTER 1: THE SYMBOL THAT SHOULDN’T EXIST
The robber took another step back.
The entire bank remained frozen in silence, as if the air itself had been stolen.
“That badge…” the knife-wielding man muttered, his voice suddenly unstable.
The boy didn’t blink.
“I’ve seen your symbol before,” he said calmly. “On the night my father disappeared.”
The mention of his father changed everything.
The man with the gun lowered it slightly, his breathing heavier now.
“Stop talking,” he hissed. “You don’t understand what you’re saying.”
But the boy did.
Because the moment the faded tattoo appeared, something inside his memory unlocked—fragments his father once warned him never to question.
A hidden unit. A broken operation. A betrayal inside their own organization.
And a name that was never supposed to be spoken again:
Project Black Meridian.
The knife-wielding robber suddenly grabbed his partner’s arm.
“We’re leaving. Now.”
But it was too late.
Sirens wailed outside the bank—yet they weren’t police sirens.
They were something else.
Something coordinated.
Something waiting.
The boy turned toward the glass doors just in time to see black vehicles surround the building.

And that’s when the truth shifted from memory… into reality.
“This wasn’t a robbery,” the boy whispered.
“It was a signal.”
