CHAPTER III – THE MOMENT BEFORE CONSEQUENCE

CHAPTER III – THE MOMENT BEFORE CONSEQUENCE

Outside, engines started.

Not sirens this time.

Vehicles.

Multiple.

Coordinated.

The hospital lights flickered slightly as security systems shifted into alert mode.

The mother stood, adjusting her coat again—this time not like armor.

Like a command uniform.

But before she could step away, her daughter grabbed her hand.

“Mom… don’t hurt him.”

That stopped her.

For a second.

Just one.

The mother looked down at her child.

Bruised. Shaking. Still holding onto something she shouldn’t have had to protect.

She exhaled slowly.

“I don’t hurt people,” she said quietly.

A pause.

Then, colder:

“I remove threats.”

She gently released her daughter’s hand.

And walked toward the door.

ENDING (ENGLISH)

In the hallway, footsteps were already approaching from both ends.

Security. Orders. Consequences already in motion.

The mother didn’t rush.

She didn’t hesitate.

Because the truth had already been named.

Dustin had taken something he didn’t understand.

And now, everything that followed would not be about anger.

It would be about recovery.

May you like

And nothing ever survived being recovered from her world.

THE END.
