Chapter 11 – One Impossible Deal

Chapter 11 – One Impossible Deal

The room became completely silent.

No one expected Adrian Sinclair to speak.

Not even Damian.

For twenty-five years, Damian had controlled every secret, every lie, every person who stood in his way.

But now the one person he thought he had created as his perfect weapon was beginning to question him.

Claire stared at Adrian.

The face was unfamiliar.

But the blood connection was undeniable.

Another brother.

Another stolen life.

"Tell me about my mother."

Her voice was calm.

But everyone could hear the pain beneath it.

Adrian looked away.

Damian immediately stepped forward.

"Don't listen to him."

Adrian laughed quietly.

"Still pretending you control everything?"

Damian's expression hardened.

"You should be grateful."

"For what?"

"For giving you a life."

Adrian's eyes filled with anger.

"You didn't give me a life."

"You stole one."

The Child in the Shadows

Adrian walked toward the old fireplace.

For the first time, Claire noticed something.

He wore a necklace.

A small silver chain.

Attached to it was half of a broken pendant.

Claire touched her own locket.

The same design.

Two pieces.

One family symbol.

Adrian noticed.

"You have the other half."

Claire nodded slowly.

"Our mother gave it to us."

Adrian looked at the pendant.

"She gave mine to me the night they took her away."

The room froze.

Ethan stepped forward.

"What happened?"

Adrian looked at Damian.

"Ask him."

Damian remained silent.

For the first time...

He looked nervous.

Isabella's Secret

Adrian took a deep breath.

"After Charlotte disappeared..."

"After Daniel was taken..."

"Everyone thought our mother was gone."

"But she wasn't."

Claire's heart stopped.

"She's alive?"

Adrian nodded.

"She survived."

"Then where is she?"

His expression changed.

"Damian knows."

Everyone turned toward the mastermind.

Damian's face remained cold.

"Adrian..."

"Don't."

But Adrian continued.

"She spent years trying to expose him."

"She collected evidence."

"She tried to find you."

He looked at Claire.

"She never stopped searching."

Tears filled Claire's eyes.

"Why didn't she find me?"

Adrian looked down.

"Because Damian made sure she couldn't."

The Hidden Prison

Bennett immediately stepped forward.

"Where is Isabella Sinclair?"

Adrian hesitated.

Then answered:

"In a private facility."

"What kind of facility?"

"The kind rich people use when they want someone to disappear without killing them."

The room became cold.

Claire's hands trembled.

"My mother has been trapped for twenty-five years?"

Adrian nodded.

"She knows the entire truth."

"She knows every crime Damian committed."

"That's why he kept her hidden."

Damian finally spoke.

"Enough."

His voice was dangerous.

Adrian looked at him.

"No."

"Not anymore."

The Impossible Deal

Damian slowly reached into his coat.

Everyone immediately moved.

But he didn't pull out a weapon.

He removed a small black folder.

Inside were documents.

"Since everyone wants the truth..."

He placed the folder on the table.

"Let's make a deal."

Claire stared at him.

"What kind of deal?"

Damian smiled.

"The kind where everyone gets what they want."

Ethan stepped forward.

"No deal."

Damian ignored him.

He looked only at Claire.

"You want your mother."

"You want your name cleared."

"You want the world to know the truth."

He tapped the folder.

"I can give you all of that."

Claire narrowed her eyes.

"And what do you want?"

Damian smiled.

"The Sinclair trust."

Silence.

"No."

Ethan immediately answered.

Damian looked amused.

"I wasn't asking you."

He looked back at Claire.

"I want you to sign over control of the entire foundation."

Claire stared at him.

"You want the money."

"No."

Damian shook his head.

"I want the power."

The Price of Freedom

Damian opened the folder.

The documents were already prepared.

A legal transfer.

A complete surrender.

If Claire signed...

Damian would control billions.

The foundation.

The company.

The evidence.

Everything.

Bennett looked at the papers.

"These are illegal."

Damian smiled.

"Maybe."

"But by the time you prove that..."

He looked at Claire.

"Your mother will be dead."

Everyone froze.

Claire's face changed.

"What did you say?"

Damian leaned closer.

"You think I kept her alive because I was merciful?"

"I kept her alive because she was useful."

He pointed to the documents.

"She knows where the final evidence is."

"What evidence?"

"The evidence that can destroy me."

The Hidden Recording

Damian placed a small device on the table.

A recording began playing.

Isabella's voice filled the room.

"If anything happens to me..."

"If Charlotte and Daniel are ever found..."

"Do not trust anyone who claims to have protected them."

The recording stopped.

Claire looked confused.

"She didn't finish."

Damian smiled.

"Exactly."

"Because the final part is hidden."

"Only Isabella knows where it is."

Ethan's Warning

Ethan grabbed Claire's hand.

"Don't do this."

She looked at him.

"My mother has been trapped for twenty-five years."

"I know."

"But this is what he wants."

"I know."

"If you give him the trust..."

"He wins."

Claire looked at the documents.

For years, she had wanted answers.

Now the truth was standing in front of her.

But the price was everything her father built.

Adrian's Choice

Suddenly Adrian stepped forward.

"I'll take her place."

Everyone turned.

Damian frowned.

"What?"

Adrian looked directly at him.

"You wanted control."

"You wanted someone from the Sinclair bloodline to sign."

"I am Sinclair blood too."

Damian smiled.

"You still don't understand."

"I don't need your signature."

"I need hers."

He pointed at Claire.

"Because she is the rightful heir."

Adrian's expression changed.

For the first time...

He realized Damian never saw him as family.

Only as a tool.

The Betrayal

Adrian slowly turned toward Damian.

"All these years..."

"You told me I was the chosen one."

Damian said nothing.

"You told me Charlotte abandoned us."

"That she was the reason our family suffered."

Silence.

"But you knew the truth."

Damian smiled coldly.

"Of course."

"You were easier to control when you hated her."

Adrian's face collapsed.

Twenty-five years of anger.

Twenty-five years of believing a lie.

Destroyed in seconds.

Claire's Decision

Claire picked up the pen.

Everyone froze.

"Claire."

Ethan's voice was filled with fear.

She looked at him.

"I'm not choosing his deal."

Damian smiled.

"Then your mother dies."

Claire looked at the documents.

Then tore them in half.

Damian's smile disappeared.

"I spent my whole life being controlled by people who thought they owned me."

She looked directly at him.

"You are no different."

For the first time...

Damian looked angry.

Not calm.

Not confident.

Angry.

"Then you leave me no choice."

He pressed a button on his phone.

The doors behind them locked.

The windows shattered as armed men surrounded the building.

Damian stepped backward.

"Since you refuse to cooperate..."

"Everyone you love will suffer."

The lights went out.

A voice echoed from the darkness.

"Find Charlotte."

"And bring me the trust."

Claire grabbed Ethan's hand.

Adrian stood beside them.

And somewhere far away...

A woman who had been imprisoned for twenty-five years opened her eyes.

Because she heard a name she thought she would never hear again.

May you like

"Charlotte..."
